What should I expect during PRP injections?

Follow all of your instructions to prepare for PRP treatment at PRO Institute and minimize the risk of complications. 

 

Avoid taking aspirin or NSAIDs like naproxen or ibuprofen at least four days before your scheduled procedure. Avoid corticosteroid injections at least four weeks before your appointment, and stay properly hydrated. Arrange for a family member or friend to drive you home afterward. 

 

We take a blood sample from one of your veins and uses a centrifuge to yield a high concentration of platelets. We then use ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance to ensure optimal precision and accuracy when injecting the PRP into painful or injured areas of your body.
